- Execute daily electrical work orders
- Perform scheduled electrical maintenance to keep equipment functional
- Proactively engage to identify electrical improvement areas
- Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions to electrical systems
- Answer emergency calls to return equipment to operational status
- Ensure a high degree of electrical safety and code compliance
- Progress and participate in longer-term electrical improvement projects
- Maintain facility housekeeping
- Strong electrical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical prints and use for troubleshooting
- Strong motor control knowledge & VFD programming experience
- Ability to troubleshoot & repair 24/120v motor & control circuits
- Understanding of code/NFPA/OSHA guidelines
- Knowledge of PLCs programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley)
- Experience working with main panels, including determining circuitry
- Ability to identify cross-generational parts alternatives and drives
- Basic knowledge of running conduit and making electrical connections
- Knowledge of 480v main panel connections
- Ability to document maintenance processes, procedures, & train others
- 2+ years working with motor controls and VFD and PLC programming
- Experience with plastic extruders and/or working in a manufacturing environment
- Troubleshooting and repair experience with 24 and 120-volt motors/controls
- Experience in identifying cross-generational electrical part alternatives
- Understanding and experience with NFPA/OSHA electrical guidelines
- Responds well to time constraints and generally works at a steady to brisk pace.
