Electrical Maintenance Technician
 
Southeast Culvert, Inc. (SeC) is a leading manufacturer of corrugated plastic and metal pipe used in stormwater management solutions. We are in Winder, GA, and seek an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure high-quality production through the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the electrical components of SeC production assets to NFPA/OSHA standards. 
 
This is a day shift position that requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and some weekends. There will be a training and application period to learn all facets of the process, end to end. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be part of the Maintenance Team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The objectives of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Execute daily electrical work orders
  • Perform scheduled electrical maintenance to keep equipment functional
  • Proactively engage to identify electrical improvement areas 
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions to electrical systems
  • Answer emergency calls to return equipment to operational status
  • Ensure a high degree of electrical safety and code compliance
  • Progress and participate in longer-term electrical improvement projects 
  • Maintain facility housekeeping
 Primary Job Skills:
An applicant should possess and be able to provide examples of the following skills/knowledge:
  • Strong electrical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read electrical prints and use for troubleshooting
  • Strong motor control knowledge & VFD programming experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot & repair 24/120v motor & control circuits
  • Understanding of code/NFPA/OSHA guidelines
  • Knowledge of PLCs programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley)
  • Experience working with main panels, including determining circuitry
  • Ability to identify cross-generational parts alternatives and drives
  • Basic knowledge of running conduit and making electrical connections
  • Knowledge of 480v main panel connections
  • Ability to document maintenance processes, procedures, & train others
Ideal Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years working with motor controls and VFD and PLC programming 
  • Experience with plastic extruders and/or working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Troubleshooting and repair experience with 24 and 120-volt motors/controls
  • Experience in identifying cross-generational electrical part alternatives
  • Understanding and experience with NFPA/OSHA electrical guidelines

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
