Produce high quality fabricated and specialty products of various corrugated metal thicknesses and structural and plate steel
Perform detailed quality assurance checks– pre and post-production covering painting, weld spatter, cracks, burn through & ensuring that cuttings & filings are properly cleaned out
Become a safe and skilled expert operator of forklift trucks.
Firm knowledge of all SEC metal pipe (corrugations, gauges, coatings)
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings with strong attention to detail
Possess good judgment with regard to safety
Practice good housekeeping in fabrications shop, across the yard, and in warehouses to include storage and placement of finished product
Capability of maintaining welding equipment covering all facets of MIG & Stick (tip liner, changes)
Competencies:
Ability to layout fittings, and create templates of various angles
Ability to work with various metal thicknesses – from 18G to 8G (corrugated metal), as well as structural and plate steel
High degree of proficiency with both MIG and Stick welding
Familiarity with various cutting tools including bandsaw, shears, plasma torch, and air tools
Ability to perform multi-angle welding (vertical, horizontal, and overhead)
Possess or obtain a valid forklift operator’s license
Very good analytical reasoning and eye-hand coordination
Ability to learn SEC product lines and quality standards
