About the General Manager (GM) role:
The GM is the principal leader of the Florida business and is responsible for pipe manufacturing, delivery, logistics and sales. Following an established business operating model, the GM will create accountability through leading and directing a management team responsible for Sales, Manufacturing and Delivery teams with the goal ensuring efficient processes, maintaining high-quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity. As a startup plant, success in the role will be to generate local sales volume, to ensure plant operations are effectively ramping (people, equipment, processes) to support incoming orders, and to build a strong culture reflective of Southeast Culvert’s existing culture. This person will need to be comfortable taking direction from Company Leadership, who will support the GM in accomplishing their mission, while being able to generate buy-in across Sales, Manufacturing and Delivery.

- Participate in setting the Florida strategic direction and leadership to the management team to execute.
- Work closely with sales leaders to enable them to bring in business. Oversees multi-functional teams whose responsibilities include machine operations, maintenance, delivery, production, processing, inventory, and quality assurance.

- Ensure compliance with DOT specifications, industry standards and regulations.
- Implement quality control processes to maintain high product standards.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or comparable work experience.
- Proven experience in a senior manufacturing management role and strong distribution knowledge.
- Strong, inspirational, steady influencer with strong servant leadership, effective coaching, mentoring and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities and able to see the big picture.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responds well to critical needs, time constraints and generally works at a brisk pace.
- Generally outgoing and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
